A little break between lockdowns provided us with an opportunity to go on holiday. The only house left in the country we could afford was in Chichester. Well, it ended being a smashing house, and an opportunity to ride some coast.

We pedalled out along the Chichester Channel past where the ship canal joins the sea, stopping to drink our coffees on the pier at West Itchenor. This place is seriously boaty.

On to West Wittering. This village was being so swamped by people wanting to be on holiday you had to book your place on the beach online 3 days beforehand. We thought this might make for a quiet day out. It didn’t.

On to Selsey Bill, the southernmost point of Sussex then around Pagham Harbour and Little Welborne. Then a mad dash back for lunch followed by a kayak and swim off the shingle beach. We slept well that night.
