The Humber

Goole to Hull

RidersGraham, Tim, Jane, Me & almost Rachel

After a long drive to Goole, Rachel proceeded to get the next train home, dog issues. Nightmare. We had amazing weather and a kind westerly pushing us out to the coast (sorry Rachel). Not sure what Graham felt about pedalling his beautiful road bike across muddy fields! We headed south down the Trent, crossing at Gunness, then north back up to the Humber. The wind was less kind when trying to cross Humber Bridge which was once the longest single span structure in the world (1.4km). The gusts around the tower bases threatened to dump us all in the estuary. Tim went back over the bridge to go visit his in laws in Scunny. The rest carried on along the waters edge into Hull
