Jez cooked us up an amazing breakfast to set us on our way, only to be scuppered by a puncture. It was a late start that meant we shot through Aldeburgh without giving it time, something that needs rectifying in the near future.
After following the shingle beaches and sea holly north we pedalled through a stunning wooded section from Thorpeness, then into the nature reserve that sits at the base of Sizewell B. Beautiful quiet roads and tracks got us to Walberswick where we succumbed to Lobster and chips!
After Southwold the ride became less compelling so it was heads down to get beyond Great Yarmouth. We were now on the edge of the Norfolk Broads and it had seemed a very long afternoon. Back on the coast we locked our bikes up and walked down the sands to visit the seal colony.
